About

About Permanent Student Doctor:

I’m a resident physician. I have experienced both great success and great frustration through my journey to and through medical education. I was inspired to start this blog because I know this journey is difficult for most going through it and I want to explore ideas and thoughts important to me and hopefully helpful to others deciding on whether to pursue medical education, going through medical education, or those practicing the medical profession.

Purpose statement:

Inform and inspire students and residents to make good life choices and career choices. Emphasis on helping these prospective students and medical professionals figure out how to better manage their current situations and commitments within and without medicine.

To affirm and encourage each individual on the medical education journey.

To share and support humanity within the profession.

Mission Statement:

To help others navigating medical education have an easier time than I did.  To help others be better informed than I was.  To help others be more okay with themselves than I was going through medicine.
